The Biotechnology Research and Innovation Council (BRIC) is a Registered Society under the Societies Act XXI of 1860. The Hon'ble Minister of Science and Technology, Govt. of India, is the President of the BRIC Society. The Governing Body, Financial Advisory Committee, and Research Advisory Board of the BRIC Society are the Statutory Bodies for the governance of BRIC. The Secretary, DBT (ex-officio), will be the Administrative and Financial Head of BRIC as its Director General (DG). The BRIC Secretariat supports the Office of the DG to coordinate the activities of BRIC, including the disbursement of funds received from DBT. The secretariat will be based in New Delhi and will be the primary contact with DBT.
